OUR MISSION TO SAVE BEES
Bees are indispensable to life as they are responsible for 1/3 of the food we eat. Without food, no animals nor humans can survive.
Honey bees — wild and domestic — perform about 80 percent of all pollination worldwide. A single bee colony can pollinate 300 million flowers each day.
WHAT IS KILLING BEES ?
Bees are declining to an alarming rate!
Scientists know that bees are dying from a variety of factors but we know humans are largely responsible for the two most prominent causes: pesticides use and habitat loss. Biologists have found more than 150 different chemical residues in bee pollen, a deadly “pesticide cocktail” according to University of California apiculturist Eric Mussen.
Einstein presumably said: “If the bee disappeared off the face of the Earth, man would only have four years left to live.” Our lives depend on theirs, so it is our responsibility to preserve them.
HOW TO SAVE BEES & HOW DO WE CONTRIBUTE?
Ecological farming is the only solution for the global pollinators crisis.
At Happy Bees, we support ecological farming by sponsoring beehives, donating part of our annual profits to Un Toit Pour les Abeilles beehives' network. Want to contribute further? Find out 5 easy ways to contribute!
